In recent years, the rise in school shootings has left an inedible mask on communities across the United States. These tragic events not only take away lives but also leave survivors  with a never ending profound trauma. Understanding the experiences of these survivors and the communities they form is crucial to addressing the long-term impacts of such violence. not only for them but also for us to make a change.
David Hoggs is a survivor of one of many school shootings in 2018 at Major Stoneman High School in Florida. He has been a good advocate to ending gun violence. He ran a protest in Washington with thousands of people in attendance. Which helped pass federal legislation on gun violence in decades.
