aspects of data management. These procedures allow the researcher to assay the data and identify
potential issues with the data that might need to be addressed.
INSTRUCTIONS
Using SPSS the student will perform the following procedures and learn how to interpret and
apply the output generated by the procedures:
• Labeling variables.
• Labeling variable values.
• Generating a data dictionary.
• Sorting data.
• Dataset cleaning by deleting records that have missing data values.
• Generating frequency tables.
