Patsy Hassett suffered from Alzheimer’s later in life. He had little to no memories. What supports the idea that Patsy Hassett is the same person as he was before Alzheimer’s?

We can, perhaps, understand two versions of Patsy Hassett having existed. One was Patsy Hassett pre-Alzheimer’s and the other was Patsy Hassett during Alzheimer’s. What supports the idea that he was not the same person before Alzheimer’s?

In our readings for the week we sought to find ways to understand individuation of persons. Our readings provided us many examples – Memory/consciousness, the not dissimilar Ego Theory, Bundle Theory. Explain how each of these defines how to determine individuals, and the potential drawbacks of each.
