For this essay you will need to write a comparison/contrast of one of the following subjects using both of the plays we read Oedipus the King and A Doll House. My audience is my classmates I do not have to retell the plot of the story. Determine the theme of each play about which you decide to write, so you can make neccessary connections. i chose for question is 1. Outside Forces Effect- in both plays outside forces (Oedipus – the gods, fate, destiny, A doll house- society) control characters actions before and during the action dramatized. In what form and for what reason do the playwrights include this element in the plays? What are the writers trying to tell both the characters and the audience through the examinations of the dynamics of the forces effects portrayed in these dramas?
