This signature assignment involves viewing and critically assessing the personality of a character in a movie or a TV show. You will use information gleaned from the movie/show to assess a character’s personality based upon at least 3 theories that were addressed in this course. Provide at least a one-page summary of the movie, the character, etc. so that the reader can understand the purpose of the character in the movie/show.
Next, present evidence for your analysis and theoretical choices. Your analysis should include the benefits and drawbacks of the theoretical perspectives. Keep in mind that individuals generally cannot be fully described by one theoretical perspective so be sure to address the benefits and limitations of your chosen theories. Lastly, include the set of causes of your character’s personality development in the movie (genetics, family, environment, etc.). Address any influences in the character’s personality development. Were there parental influences? Peer influences? Societal influences?
Your final paper should be 7 – 9 pages of written material, excluding your title and reference page
You must use at least 3-5 sources, in addition to the course text. Your paper must adhere to APA guidelines.
