Identify a clinical question to be studied using quality improvement methodology
Conduct a literature search to discuss three types of quality improvement methodologies that may be applied in conducting the QI Project.
Grading rubric:
1. Discuss a clinical question to be studied using quality improvement (4 points)
2. Discuss three types of quality improvement methodology with references to study your clinical question (9 points)
we can discuss reducing falls in psychiatric inpatient units (for instance polypharmacy is a factor, especially among geriatric patients) :
For methodologies we can use PDSA cycle, lean and six sigma. examples from literature search can combine lean and six sigma.
