Research the topic, summarize the crime incident, identify the perpetrators and the impact on society as well as the victims, and what action was taken by government after the crime was reported. Was the punishment of the offender sufficient to stop future behavior. Who was stuck paying the bill? Describe efforts to protect potential victims, and make suggestions for strengthening laws or procedures. At minimum, the following questions must be addressed:
1. How severe was the crime?
2. Does the disposition of the crime seem fair?
3. How does this compare to the treatment of violent or “street” criminals?
4. Will the punishment given discourage similar behavior in others?
5. What was the impact on the public as well as the direct victims?
