This paper is for me to write about the first implementation of my project and the challenges I foresee. The project is about reducing UTIs in long-term care. I am writing to tell my professor how far I have come with the start of the implementation of the project. We have decided to use only one tool to check (NHSN UTI criteria) instead of two because the team was having problems with the two tools at the start of the project. This was done on the 12th day. You can add a few challenges nurses face when implementing projects in LTC. The nurses are trying to identify patients with UTIs very quickly so that they cannot get admitted for UTIs in hospitals.
