A recent controversy regarding transgender athletes has sparked plenty of debate in the news. On March 17, 2022, University of Pennsylvania Lia Thomas won the 500-yard freestyle championship becoming the first NCAA transgender champion. However, her victory has received plenty of backlash and criticism, especially regarding the issue of fairness in transgender females competing alongside biological females. After watching these three videos and possibly doing additional research on the controversy (this part is optional), provide your evaluation of the issue. Your evaluation should include 3-4 important criteria mentioned in these videos, followed by your judgment of each criteria. Based on the criteria you identified, which side of the controversy do you think holds more fairness and justice?
Here is an example of one criteria just to demonstrate what I mean: Ex: Caitlyn Jenner claims that even without testosterone, she can physically outperform other females by 100-yards.
